GIFT GUIDE: ELEMENTARY + TWEEN-AGER

Phew - do you have kids in your life that have been writing lists since August? Yeah, me too.

I always panic a bit, because the lists changes, availability changes and I want to try really hard to keep the magic of the holidays alive as long as I possible can!

I also like adding in items that have a bit of an underlying message, a STEM challenge, something for them to make or create or something that we can do together. Don't get me wrong, my house is filled with plastic toys, but every year, I make a valiant effort to mix it up a bit. Also for any nieces/nephews/friends that I shop for!

I haven't included a ton of books in these age groups, but that is always a perfect gift! I would just urge you to reach out to the parents to find books that are age and reading-level appropriate, so they can foster the love of reading without adding frustration. A local bookstore would also be a great resource for this! I typically ask for recommendations that are a grade lower than my kids (for easy reading successes) and current grade level (for a bit of a challenge).

Happy shopping - don't forget to start your shopping by linking through here or the SHOP page.
